Stairs to Nowhere(s)

The Adversary swears
He will conquer the Stairs to Nowhere(s)
Call it a twisted childhood
My spiral staircase
Standing in the middle
of a dead, forgotten place
My rusted arms reaching out
My spine curving toward the wind
My legs, stomach, breasts, neck and chin
All beckoning Stairs to Nowhere(s)
And at the top, few dare to venture
My eyes, the vast blue sky,
My rustic view lies
Perhaps you are my last crusade
To approach the Stairs to Nowhere(s)
Some have clearly stated
There is nothing at the top
No landing
No view
But I know otherwise,
For beyond my eyes
There is an invisible door
That few have ever seen before
or recognized
It is the room of my mind
It is Somewhere...
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
