This Time
The barren roads fail to cloud me
For this time, they promise
Such things
They never dared upon
To suggest or tease
Shall locked doors open
Releasing bitterness
That cannot stagnate upon
Two loving hearts?
It must flutter away
Like a sad thing, growing wings
Which must proceed to other things
Or else drown in it's own ignorance
You and I,
We are survivors
Of Fate's lashing statements
Of long, barren roads
Of thorned roses
But, this time
There is a choice of clouds...
For this time, they promise
Such things
They never dared upon
To suggest or tease
Shall locked doors open
Releasing bitterness
That cannot stagnate upon
Two loving hearts?
It must flutter away
Like a sad thing, growing wings
Which must proceed to other things
Or else drown in it's own ignorance
You and I,
We are survivors
Of Fate's lashing statements
Of long, barren roads
Of thorned roses
But, this time
There is a choice of clouds...
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
