Old Maid

OLD MAIDS ARE MADE THIS WAY,
They almost chant, and shake their heads
(And know that knowledge suits them)

As she smiles, rather coyly
Knowing with the cards, hidden in her pocket
Neither one of them is playing
With a full deck
