Willow
I was once a Willow Tree
For I carry on her sadness
My arms reach out, falling to the ground
Aching to hold and be held
Forever, I can stand in a peaceful field
Listening to the birds
While watching the seasons change
I was once a beautiful Willow Tree
With long, sweet branches
Extending out my tempting limbs to climb
Yet, there I stood stationary
Alone
For no child had embraced my friendship
And no man welcomed my shade
I was once a kind, old Willow Tree
For I carry on her dream
My arms reach out, falling to the ground
Aching to hold and be held
I belong to the field
I belong to the earth
and I weep forever...
For I carry on her sadness
My arms reach out, falling to the ground
Aching to hold and be held
Forever, I can stand in a peaceful field
Listening to the birds
While watching the seasons change
I was once a beautiful Willow Tree
With long, sweet branches
Extending out my tempting limbs to climb
Yet, there I stood stationary
Alone
For no child had embraced my friendship
And no man welcomed my shade
I was once a kind, old Willow Tree
For I carry on her dream
My arms reach out, falling to the ground
Aching to hold and be held
I belong to the field
I belong to the earth
and I weep forever...
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
