Dragon Fly

Dragon Fly
With your metallic coat
Timid, yet, steady and wise
Hovers and glides
And harbors nearby
But never lingers like the butterfly
Off, you go
With such short notice
We've failed to invite you to stay
You give a short buzz, and you leave us
Because
You never have much to say
Oh, Dear Dragon Fly
With your wings, dancing wild
And your glitter which cranes our eyes
You leave, but return
Through the years, and we learn
To seek you again
Through the eyes of a child
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
