A Year of Light

He gives the world
A light,
A pause
A slice of harmony
Softly beckoning shadow
To disperse
Itself in poetry
As color passes
Over the eyes
Of luminosity
His gift unfurls
At night,
A bridge
A piercing through the dark
Curves reflecting beauty
To orchestrate
A symphony
As radiance thrashes free
From the arms
Of obscurity
I am a piece of light
Within the realm
Of shadowing plight
And, how I shine
For him this night
And, how I dance
Off jagged glass
And erupt into
Thousands of prisms
Like pure crystal
And love him more deeply
Than the sea
For he is depth
Cast into me
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
