I Lay Dying, In His Eyes
I am no longer rare
Or beautiful
But a wave of time
A reluctant addition,
Not a merged plight
I am singular
Alone
Dare, I writhe in sorrow
I shall lose him, whole
I am an unchartered Moon
In his Universe
An unblinking eye
Withholding a single grain
Of salt
Pearls once strung
Around my neck
And my song
From his lips
The taste of my kiss
Was his force
Of happiness
My Voice,
His need
Oh, How to become this Nothing
Is such a breaking
Declining sadness
As I struggle
With beauty
And fall
Where unchartered Moons
Are meant to find their
Endings
Or beautiful
But a wave of time
A reluctant addition,
Not a merged plight
I am singular
Alone
Dare, I writhe in sorrow
I shall lose him, whole
I am an unchartered Moon
In his Universe
An unblinking eye
Withholding a single grain
Of salt
Pearls once strung
Around my neck
And my song
From his lips
The taste of my kiss
Was his force
Of happiness
My Voice,
His need
Oh, How to become this Nothing
Is such a breaking
Declining sadness
As I struggle
With beauty
And fall
Where unchartered Moons
Are meant to find their
Endings
It all began with a Raspberry Starfish...
